We all love a good nine-hour Lord of the Rings marathon, but do you remember all of the characters?

8 things you'll notice when you first start taking antidepressants

Now we don’t expect you to remember every single character, because that would be quite a big ask.

But we do think that it is only fair that self-confessed LOTR lovers remember all of the main folk.

We know how it is.

8 people share how they got through divorce

You roll out of bed, on to the tube, order your coffee on the way to the coffee shop (because, technology) and then as the sweet hit of caffeine drips into your blood stream you finally wake up.

We know this isn’t just us, because a recent survey by MyVoucherCodes revealed that the average Brit is spending £2,160 a year on coffee. If you’re self-employed you’ll fork out £440 more.

That’s a lot of money, and if that’s the average then there are people spending way more than that.

But there… Read the full story

I’m about to introduce you to a phrase you never knew you needed – VBL.

It’s an outfit ruiner; a selfie killer; the fly in the ointment of otherwise perfect garms. It’s visible bra line, and it’s all the fault of padded bras.

8 things you'll notice when you first start taking antidepressants

Foamy t-shirt bras, balconettes full of fluff, and push-ups that defy gravity are so commonplace in high street shops and it’s often hard to find a bra without padding.

But they also go bunchy under your top and leave you with the dreaded VBL if you’re wearing anything thinner than… Read the full story

That’s probably why 61% of women who use makeup brushes clean them less than once a month – if at all.

These are the signs of a stroke

It’s so annoying that some people have just got tired of the fuss, and started putting their makeup brushes in the washing machine to get them clean.

But does it actually work, or will it make your Mac or Morphe babies look like sweeping brushes?

According to Twitter, it’s a miracle fix.

There are some that are more satisfying, certainly. And there are definitely some that are even more infuriating than others.

You have to be a very special sort of person to genuinely enjoy housework. Most of us struggle with it.

But not all housework tasks are created equal – some are definitely worse than others, and some are, well, tolerable. Here we rank them from worst to best.

What was the deal with this dance? (Picture: Giphy)

Anyone who has lived through the 90s is eternally grateful that there was no social media to capture all of our cringe worthy activities.

Why are so many bras overly padded?

Back in the 90s we thought everything was bloody amazing, and that what we were doing was the cutting edge and coolest stuff possible.

In reality, we did a lot of questionable things that really were nowhere near as snazzy as we thought at the time.

And every time we think back to our chosen activities, actions and obsessions we cringe and shudder.

This isn’t that sinking feeling that £1 drinks at the SU are now a thing of the past, but a much deeper issue.

Pregnancy and motherhood are often blamed for ‘ruining’ women’s bodies.

Stretch marks. Saggy skin. Fluctuating weight.

These are the signs of a stroke

We’ve been conditioned to view bodies which have created and pushed out actual humans as imperfect because they’re not as small or tight skinned as they used to be.

Until very recently, author Jill Robbins felt the same.

She had ‘always hated’ her stomach – it’s her ‘problem area’, and it’s always been the part of her body that she’s been most critical of.

Saying that she lets it ‘all hang out’ anyway whenever she’s at the beach or pool.
