A teenager who underwent a major operation to straighten her spine has shown off her scar with pride at her high school prom.

16-year-old Phoebe, from Harrogate, North Yorkshire, decided to fight her fears and wore a backless dress to prom – something she’d never dreamed of doing beforehand.

When Phoebe was 14, she was diagnosed with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis, a condition characterised by a curvature of the spine. After having major surgery to straighten her spine back in September 2015, she was left with a large scar.

Disney Parks blog have confirmed that a Star Wars inspired resort will be opening at Florida’s Walt Disney World and we’re so excited.

A birth plan is a bit like a wish list.

In an ideal world what would your birth be like? Who’s in the room with you? What music is playing? Are you at home or in hospital? And how do you feel about medical intervention and pain relief?

There’s nothing like going into a cupboard and finding that there’s only decaf left to ruin your entire day.
