I am on a healthy eating diet.

These days, it’s almost taboo to string those three words together but that’s what it is; I’m trying to shred the fat, build muscle and sort out my chronic digestive issues by swerving the carbs, filling up on big green salads and getting a big dose of protein every day.

Why are sex dolls which allow men to simulate rape a bad thing?

Why? Because I want to be fitter and healthier and I want to change the way my body looks. And to do that, I’m having to eat – for want of a… Read the full story

There’s an incredibly irritating question that chat show hosts, particularly male chat show hosts, like to ask new fathers.

‘Are you getting involved? Are you changing the nappies?’ he’ll ask, smiling. As if that’s a question.

It's time to ban greeting people by kissing them on the cheek

You might as well get a new parent on a chat show and ask, ‘Are you feeding the baby? Are you dressing it? Are you allowing it access to oxygen?’

Babies, in case you’ve never had one, require changing on the reg. Sometimes they need changing a matter of seconds after they’ve been changed,… Read the full story

It’s time to ban greeting people by kissing them on the cheek

Oh f***, he’s going in for a double.

As someone thrusts their lips towards my cheek, a part of me dies a little.

When they follow that up with a swift turn to the other side of my face, I feel like I could throw a little tantrum, right there on the floor, wailing and kicking my legs against the ground in protest.

Be:FIT - Europe's largest fitness festival solely for women - is touring the UK

The cheek kiss greeting. It is truly awful.

As someone who has loudly professed my dislike for hugging (I even tried to go to a professional cuddler to fix my struggles. It didn’t work), it’d be easy to dismiss me as just someone who clearly hates all contact with humans, and should live in a bubble inside an underground bunker.

But I swear, I’m not.

I like a hug from someone I know well.… Read the full story

Kit Kats can be incredibly controversial, because it seems nobody eats them the same way.

I, for one, break apart the chocolate bar, nibble the chocolate off before parting each wafer and eating them separately.

Sure, it’s a lot of effort – but it makes it last longer and stops me from eating an entire packet in one go.

However, there are some daredevils who just don’t care about the sacred Kit Kat – and they bite straight into it without even splitting it up *shudders just thinking about it*.

By now, we all know that dogs die in hot cars.

But rubber ducks? Well, they don’t fare much better either.

One intrepid Twitter user in Japan by the name of @shiohitoshi found that out the hard way.

Taking his beloved plastic quacker out of the bath and on a joyride, he gave his pal pride of place on top of the stereo.

Except he forgot to factor in the heat of a Japanese summer.

You have to cut out a lot of things (Picture: Getty)

Many people will already have heard of the acronym FODMAPs (Fermentable, Oligo-, Di-, Mono-saccharides and Polyols) before, especially in the context of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

But what are FODMAPs? Are they bad for everyone? Will a low FODMAP diet help you loose weight? Should we all go on a low FODMAP diet?

There seems to be a lot of people who have been told to go on a low FODMAP diet but they are not sure where to start or what it means. I would love to try to make things… Read the full story

These days, weddings can barely move under the weight of tradition.

Your guide to being a great wedding guest

New traditions get added on every generation until the cost of a wedding is close to the GDP of a small country.

Not only that, but the traditions run the risk of making weddings boring.

There are some traditions that we can all agree are pretty great (everyone likes cake), but, frankly, I think we all know that weddings would be even better if we cut some of them.

Endometriosis isn’t something we often talk about, and its effects are rarely shown off in a public way.

Extreme periods, intense pain, bloating, surgeries. None of these things are pretty or easy to chat about. When periods and vaginas are still treated as something shameful, it feels impossible to openly talk about a condition related to both.

Someone's invented a Kit Kat cake - but how would you eat it?

We’ve had people share photos of their bloating, and stories of surgeries.

Artist Ellie Kammer is taking it up a notch.

After struggling to come to terms with how endometriosis was changing her body, Ellie came up with a way to work through her experiences: painting.

Ellie has created a series of powerful paintings of her experience of endometriosis, from days spent in bed to blood stained stomachs.

Low sugar recipes are all the rage at the moment with everyone from health bloggers to celebrities like Davina McCall claiming to follow a low sugar – or no sugar – diet.

However, trying to avoid the sweet stuff or even understand what counts as sugar can be like navigating through a minefield. Many so-called sugar-free recipes contain ingredients such as honey, maple syrup or fruits – all of which still count as sugar, albeit a more natural kind than refined cane sugar.

Other people prefer to use artificial sweeteners in their baking or… Read the full story
