Let’s be honest: none of us really want to be described as ‘neurotic’, do we?

Psychologists consider people with high levels of neuroticism more likely to worry, fret and ruminate on negative experiences, and say that they can often display a ‘negative temperament’.

Not ideal, really.

But it turns out that the more highly-strung of us may have one advantage over our sunnier, anxiety-free peers: we may actually live longer.

The new research, from the University of Edinburgh, examined rates of mortality and rates of neuroticism in over 321,456 people registered with the UK Biobank.

Questionnaires measuring personality traits including neuroticism were given to participants, as well… Read the full story

Look, doing a poo with anyone nearby is uncomfortable.

We all deserve private bathrooms where we can push excrement out of our bowels in peace, freely grunting, plopping, and scrolling through Twitter as we please.

But most of us spend the bulk of our days at work, in places with bathrooms we have to share with other people. That adds a whole new level of weirdness.

A recent study from V.I.Poo found that more than half of women, and 29% of men, are uncomfortable taking a dump at work.

The sheer panic when you hear someone lock the cubicle door next to yours.
