Stephen Davies is a volunteer for e-NABLE, a global charity that brings together people with 3D printing and design skills to create free prosthetic hands for anyone in need.

He uploaded a video of the first recipient of one of his 3D printed arms: a disabled eight-year-old girl who had a moving reaction to receiving her first prosthetic limb.

He says: ‘This is the first arm I built for e-NABLE. This is eight-year-old Isabella.’

She unwraps the box, sees what’s inside, and her face lights up.

1. Russia

Probably not a place you might have high on your tea tourism list, but it should be.

Tea is a massive part of life in cold Russia.

They brew it sometimes for hours, even overnight, to get maximum flavour before adding sweeteners such a honey.

It’s also widely served as dessert with jam or fine chocolate. Best to skip straight to pudding then.

Connecting people around the world, through the power of poop.

Pooductive is a new app that’s connecting people through the one thing that we all have in common. As the children’s book says, Everybody Poops. So why not chat together while you’re doing it?

Essentially, Pooductive is a mini social network around the act of pooping.

When you pop to the loo, you open up the app to chat with other people who are also dropping the kids off at the pool at the time.

Once you’re on the toilet, phone in hand, you can search for another person, or group of people, currently pooping and up for a chat, either locally – in which case you can… Read the full story

It’s another Tinder tale featuring a short-lived romance and a bucketload of crazy.

First dates in the modern world are at best a time to find out who the person behind the profile is before seeing if you’d like to meet up again.

At worst they’re a one night hookup that you regret later.

They are definitely not the start of a committed relationship – more often than not you never hear from your date again.

Ever wondered if love is the same on the other side of the world?

Cut Video sent their producer on a trip around the world to find out. In 30 days, he traveled to 11 countries, and filmed couples kissing.

Which might sound a bit weird, but the resulting video is pretty heart-warming, not just because you’re witnessing real moments of love and affection, but because it just goes to prove that love really is universal.

That being said, it’s probably not a great watch if you’re one of those strange people who hate kissing.

But if you liked the video and want more of it, you’re in luck.

Cut Video now wants to create a bigger, better version of the video, with kisses from every country included, and are asking for submissions.

Get smooching.

It is a sad, sad world we live in where there is no French bulldog emoji. Fact.

Add to that the lack of pigeon and Pret a Manger cup emoji, and Londoners are struggling. Truly struggling. The struggle is real, as the kids say.

Because how are we supposed to express ourselves without emoji representation of all the things we hold dear? With words?

Dear Lord, no.

Thankfully, someone has swooped in to save us, with a bunch of new London-specific emoji they’d like to add into the running of the emoji upgrades.

People aged 7 to 91 give the greatest advice to their younger selves

Sometimes, life advice from a 12-year-old is just as spot-on as words of wisdom from someone with 80 years of life experience.

Which is why we love this video from CBC Radio, which asked people aged 7 all the way up to 91 to give advice to their younger selves.

Some of the advice was pretty poignant, like when this 34-year-old reminded her younger self of the importance of family.

Or when this 19-year-old told her 18-year-old self that she doesn’t need to wear so much makeup.

Katie Fehlinger is a meteorologist at CBS Philadelphia, who also happens to be 35 weeks pregnant with twins.

She’s kept working while all baby bumped out, presenting the morning weather reports each week.

Unfortunately, because the world is filled with not-very-nice people, Katie’s appearance onscreen has attracted some cruel, body-shaming comments.

Katie has been called ‘disgusting’ and told she looks like a ‘sausage in casing’ by viewers, and while she’s grown used to receiving criticism given her position in the public eye, she felt that these attacks on her pregnancy body were going too far.

These days, admitting you enjoy sugar in your tea is akin to admitting you enjoy a bit of crack.

And as sugar has become a dirty word in the healthy eating movement, so ‘protein’ has becoming the ultimate clean one.

Measuring your protein intake was once the preserve of bodybuilders (‘how many Gs are you on’ type chat) and Olympic athletes with a chicken breast and egg obsession.

But now you can pack in your Gs without mainlining egg white or seeing off a dozen chickens – because protein comes in the shape of foods like ice cream, crisps, and even popcorn.

Here’s some of the more palate-pleasing ways… Read the full story
