Just because you’re a student facing the likelihood of being skint very soon doesn’t mean you can’t have a bit of luxury in your life.

These two students have proved that with a very impressive makeover of their new university bedroom.

Diptyque is launching car fresheners so everywhere you go will smell like wealth

They’ve fitted a fake brick wall to give that ‘loft apartment’ feel and decked out their dorm room with truck-loads of furniture.

They spent $2,400 (£1,877) on the makeover at Sterry Hall at Texas State University.

They enlisted the help of six friends and relatives to move in loft beds with customised headboards, a mini-fridge, faux-marble desks, a TV and white dressers.

That’s right, boos – a cruelty-free, Nirvana-themed café is soon to launch in Glasgow, and you’re all invited.

If this is your idea of fun then that might be the issue. (Picture: Getty)

The Daily Mail ran a story today which showcased a variety of men, all mourning for the fact that they can’t find a ‘good’ woman.

These men aren’t trolls. They’re not offensive to look at and they don’t seem like bad romantic prospects. Actually, they’re decent looking, solvent, perfectly normal seeming men. But they’re all happy to claim, publicly, that they’re swearing off women because they’ve been unable to find someone bearable to go out with.

Stuff’s better when it’s fizzy, right?

Other than food, which, if it’s fizzy, has likely gone off.

Inside the cult of the burger bro

But water, sugary liquids, and juices. When they’re fizzy they’re significantly more fun.

While most of us would explore the joy of fizz by nipping to the corner shop and buying ourselves a can of Coke, there are some posh people among us who decide that they’ll go for the fancier option: Buying their own SodaStream.

    Remember the SodaStream?

It was that snazzy device that the one wealthy girl in your year had at her house, and that you asked your parents to… Read the full story

It’s no secret that human beings love glitter.

Take a look around at any festival and you’ll see grown adults, of all genders, prancing around covered in the stuff.

We're very into these Crayola nail varnishes

The never-ending trend has seen us jazzing up our beards, donning glittery undercuts and chowing down on galaxy glitter bagels.

The fools among us have also shoving glitter capsules up our vaginas and rectums. Not recommended, FYI.

We’re even able to send glitter to our… Read the full story

Despite December still being months away, we’ve been getting way more excited for the countdown to Christmas than Christmas day itself – which is totally understandable considering all of the amazingly boozy advent calendars that have recently been released.

If you fancy getting dressed up as your favourite Disney character while getting boozy amongst other Disney-fanatics, now’s your chance – as there’s going to be a Disney-themed bar crawl taking place very soon.

Inside the cult of the burger bro

Every Friday night from 7pm throughout September, The Character Crawl will be taking place in order for Disney fans to unleash their inner Disney hero – or villain, if you’re more about that life.

The event, which was originally launched last April by the people over at Hullabaloo Productions, is said to be a ‘magical adventure’ that has proved to be… Read the full story

    Right. Let’s talk about pooing.

Yes, it’s private and no, it’s not very appetizing, but actually our reticence in talking about it can lead to health issues. The NHS says that so many of us feel embarrassed to say the word ‘poo’ that we won’t tell a doctor if something is worrying us.

Inside the cult of the burger bro

So let’s talk about it. Specifically, how much you do it.

How much is it normal to poo?

Some people do it once a day, some people three times a day, and some people only a few times a week. Can all of those… Read the full story

  • 08/24/17--05:22: Why do I sweat at night?
  • Waking up in sheets drenched in sweat can have you questioning your health (Picture: Getty)

Do you ever wake thinking that someone has thrown a bucket of water over you?

Inside the cult of the burger bro

Sweating at night when the room or environment you are sleeping in an average or cool temperature has a variety of causes .

Although night sweats can be harmless they can also be a symptom of an underlying disease.

Sweating is when your body excretes a water type substance on to you skin to help the body cool down and prevent it from overheating.

There’s a clear winner here (Picture: Getty/Myles Goode)

The old north London vs south London argument has probably been going since the Roman’s founded the capital.

14 times being a born-and-bred Londoner was the best

But there’s no competition really – north of the river is clearly where all the best action is. The north has all the best parks, food and entertainment.

It must be pretty fantastic as a northerner to know that you have, in fact, made the much better choice.

    Here are seven reasons why.

    Transport

Sure, the south is more ‘edgy’, but who cares about that when it takes so long to get around?

Last week we brought you the story of a man who had made his dog his very own room under the stairs.

    That was pretty impressive.

Man spends two years building incredible mini mansion for his dogs

But this doghouse might just top it.

For the last two years, Aaron Franks has been building a mini mansion for his four pit bulls: Tessa, Bruno, Coupe, and Mia.

It’s now, finally, complete. And it’s absolutely incredible.

The resulting mansion for all four dogs to lounge, play, eat, and snooze, has a mini pool, a garden with a fire hydrant, a water dispenser, and… Read the full story

Great Northern Hotel in London have created this genius guacamole drink (Picture: Great Northern Hotel)

If there’s one things millennials love, it’s avocados.

Diptyque is launching car fresheners so everywhere you go will smell like wealth

Our penchant for smashed avo on sourdough is, of course, the reason none of us can afford to get on the property ladder.

Our love for the stone-filled fruit (yes, it is a fruit) has caused us to replace burger buns with avocado, drink coffee out of their shells, and invest in avocado pool floats while wearing Read the full story

Oreo flavoured M&M’s are now a thing and we need them in our lives immediately.

There's a sexy Jon Snow costume for anyone who lusts for his longclaw

Coming just in time for Halloween, the M&M’s, which have been labelled ‘Cookies and Screeem’ are inspired by one of our favourite flavours – cookies and cream.

Unlike other M&M’s, which consist of a milk shell and a choice of filling – usually either milk chocolate, peanut or rice crispies – this packet will actually make you feel as though you’re biting into tiny balls of Oreo.

To give it as Oreo a feel as possible,… Read the full story

Hangover Days are a thing at Dice, a London-based ticketing app (Picture: Caiaimage/Paul Bradbury/Getty)

Have you ever been to a gig on a school night, and thought, ‘It’s cool, I’ll just have a couple of beers and then be in bed by 11’?

But then suddenly it’s midnight and you’re still propping up the bar, riding high on the euphoria of the band playing your favourite song in the encore.

A new curfew gets set: ‘It’s cool, I don’t need more than five hours sleep anyway.’

This company lets its staff call in sick with a hangover if they use emoji

I’m sorry, you’re going to have to go (Picture: aphrodite74/Getty)

Let me start this by saying I don’t hate children.

I have two of my own, numerous nephews and nieces and spend plenty of time at places where there are lots of other people’s children too.

They don’t annoy me, I’m not one of those who only likes their own children and thinks everyone else’s child is a spoilt little monster.

And I’m definitely nothing like Roald Dahl’s Miss Trunchbull or Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker.

    Kids and babies are great.

They are noisy, messy, free-spirited – and this is exactly why they shouldn’t be in a fancy restaurant.

Look, if I get a night out without the children, the last thing I want… Read the full story

I’m sure there are good things about renting your home. I just struggle to see them.

Pretty much every year of the last five, price increases, the sale of the property or chronic damp have left me and my husband having to move house.

Man spends two years building an incredible mini mansion for his dogs

Earlier this year (before we moved into the current dream flat, where I’m hoping to stay for a long time) my husband and I were enduring the miserable task of trailing around North London looking at flats.

I’m fairly vocal about my unadulterated hatred for dry shampoo.

The smell makes me nauseous, and I can tell someone’s wearing it from the other side of a train carriage.

I hate how to leaves my hair feeling dry and brittle, and how my hands feel like they’re covered in chalk.

Pet owners in China are giving their furry friends acupuncture

And I hate the the dull white residue it leaves on my hair, the way it makes my hair look dull and completely lifeless.

This is probably part of the reason that I end up spending so much money on spontaneous blowdries.… Read the full story

You’d be forgiven for thinking we’ve published a load of pics of pet torture, but actually, what you’re seeing is a whole heap of blissed out pets.

Is the Ouai dry shampoo foam worth the faff?

These images are from Shanghai TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Neurology and Acupuncture Animal Health Centre in China, where pets are able to receive acupuncture.

Acupuncture is an alternative therapy, derived from ancient Chinese medicine where fine needles are inserted into certain parts of the body for healing purposes.

Practitioners believe that it stimulates blood flow, which can relieve aches and pains.

Boiled Eggs with Toast Soldiers (Picture: Metro/Getty)

It’s one of the most versatile foods, but no one can deny that bad eggs are one of the most foul tasting things on earth.

There’s nothing more infuriating than getting stuck into an omelette, only to find you used some out of date eggs.

Luckily there are a few tricks you can use to figure out if your eggs have gone off.

    The float test

Let’s start with the easiest test. It sounds like an old wives’ tale, but it really does work.

Just drop your egg into a bowl of water (carefully, you don’t want to crack it).
