Swedish model Agnes Hedengard has hit back at the ridiculous and damaging body standards of some in the fashion industry, after being told she’s ‘too big’ for bookings.

‘It’s absurd and I hate it,’ the 19-year-old says in a disturbing YouTube video where she claims brands have refused to book her because of her measurements, telling her to ‘get in shape’.

This, despite the fact that her BMI is 17.5, which is classified as underweight.

Clearly listening to the thousands of people who petitioned for a plus-size Disney princess, Tumblr artist The Nameless Doll has edited some of our favourite Disney princesses to make them look a little closer to the norm.

This makes us feel really, really sad.

According to a new survey, 80 per cent of British women don’t feel good enough.

In fact, despite accomplishing an average 26 tasks a day, women still put pressure on themselves to be perfect, according to new research commissioned to launch Sanctuary Spa’s #LetGo campaign.

In a poll of 2,000 Brits, women said they feel most under pressure to balance everything at once (36%), to be interesting (33%), and to be intelligent (29%).

Cropped Image Of Person Holding Plate Full To Salad By Poolside
Salad by a pool? NO, THANK YOU. (Picture: Getty)

F*** it, let’s just have a burger.

According to a new essay in the Washington Post from food and science writer Tamar Haspel, salad is basically bullsh*t. It’s not even healthy, it’s wasting all of our time, and it should be banned.

Why? Because lettuce is full of nonsense.

AKA water.

As Tamar explains, lettuce is a ‘leafy-green waste of resources’.

Most lettuce types, including iceberg and romaine, are 95-97% water, and have absurdly low levels of actual nutrients.

What’s the point, then?

WHAT IS THIS MADNESS.

13 things only bus commuters will understand

Taking a rush-hour bus can be a socially complex experience.

It’s a minefield of exaggerated politeness, enforced tolerance and occasional (and unwelcome) banal conversation.

Above all, it’s a lot to ask when you just want to make it to work without touching anyone.

If you’ve been boarding the buses, these are things you probably do twice a day and wish you didn’t.

1. You have memorised the exact time that every person arrived at the bus stop and know precisely in what order they have the right to step aboard.

2. You cannot help but read the Tinder messages that the passenger beside you is typing into their phone. Cringing does not prohibit you from following the conversation with perverse interest.

3. You see the same people, at the same time,… Read the full story

You’ve been single for a while and you’ve decided it’s finally time to get back on the saddle.

You are ready to settle down for reals.

Whether you’ve dated and have figured out what you need or if you’re new to it all, there are thoughts you go through when you’re ready to meet someone.

1. Where do I start?

You’ve managed to get this far without meeting anyone, how do you change that? You start joining dating sites (again). Maybe it’ll be better now you know what you’re looking for.

2. Is there a secret filter on Tinder?

It’s no secret that cats don’t like being drenched in water and lathered up.

But still, I think we can all agree that never in our lifetimes did we expect to hear a cat verbally protesting bath time with the words ‘no more’.

And yet, we will fight anyone with our actual fists, who claims that this sad, sodden kitty is not yelling ‘no more’ at its amused owner.

Jeez – first they develop thumbs, and now they’re talking actual English words. It’s time to bolt your doors guys – the cats are coming to get us.

We all know that ‘what goes in must come out’, but nothing can prepare you for the variance of colour, size and smell of your child’s poo.

And not forgetting the toilet training stage when your find yourself wondering; ‘is this chocolate or is this poo?’
