Closer than close.

Is coffee the first thing you think about when you wake up? Is caffeine the only think you want to ‘hit’ first thing in the morning? Is it… you know… better than sex?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then a. you have a problem and b. this kissable coffee cup is for you.

This lipsy lid is the work of Korean designer Jang WooSeok, who told Mashable: ‘I created it for my sexual desire’… before adding, ‘Just kidding.’

Phew.

Dating someone new? Ask about their parents (Picture: HBO)

Cheating: it might run in the family.

A new study from the Texas Tech university and the University of Nevada shows that being a cheater might run in the family.

Researchers surveyed around 300 students to see if they could find any relationship between your parents indulging in infidelity and your likelihood to cheat.

They asked if the students had ever cheated on a partner – 30% said yes – and if their mum or dad had ever cheated on the other parent – 33% said yes, with slightly more dads doing the dirty than mums.

Only 29 per cent of people would tell their… Read the full story

Burger love gif

Oh hai burger lovers!

Did we mention that today is National Burger Day? Well we have now.

Like us, we know you’ve chowed down on your fair share of burgers (and maybe also a few extra for good measure), so today of all days, we didn’t just want to serve up any old burger. Oh no. We’ve endeavoured to serve up burgers so damn right outrageous, they’ll blow your tiny burger-munching minds.

So buckle up, because it’s gonna be a bumpy burgery ride.

1. Bacon and peach jam burger

Woah there! Yeah, we’ve gone straight in with this one. Peach? On a burger? Hells yeah. This tangy taste sensation, which along with the bacon and peach jam also contains caramalised onions and a big ol’ slab of goats cheese… not to mention a 1/3 lb. patty, can be found at Li’l Woody’s burger joint in Seattle.

What the…? (Picture: Youtube/ russellmunro)

If you thought Ian’s cheesecake tower on last night’s GBBO was impressive, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Forget fancy icing and multiple tiers – this Transformer cake actually transforms. For real.

When his son asked for a Transformers cake for his 6th birthday, super-dad Russell Munro took the brief and ran with it.

Not content with simply calling up Asda and ordering one of their personalised cakes with a picture of a Transformer printed on top like any normal sleep-deprived parent, he created an Optimus Prime (that’s a Transformer btw) animated cake platform complete with audio introduction.

Finally, the moment all worshippers of crusts and cheese have been waiting for – London’s first pizza festival.

We can’t believe it’s taken so long either.

After all, what’s not to love about a day spent celebrating (and eating, oh so much eating) freshly baked pizzas topped with melted cheese and a host of toppings from pig’s cheek to kimchi?

Terry Pratchett’s latest Discworld novel, The Shepherd’s Crown, has been released.

And while this news is inevitably tinged with sadness following the great author’s death, fans can’t help but feel a little excited about finding out what’s in store for Tiffany Aching.

You won’t find any spoilers here as I’m guessing you, like me, will be running off to read the latest adventures of the witches and the Wee Free Men holding your hands over your ears and going ‘la la la’ to anyone dropping hints.

No, instead here’s a ranking of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels, from worst to best.

In the words of Snoop: ‘Smoke weed every day.’

A couple from California have hit a new high in the world of pothead weddings.

Not content with a cheeky post-ceremony spliff, John Elledge and Whitney Alexander had a purpose built weed tent at their nuptials in Oregon last month.

Like an alcohol bar, the weed tent had a variety of different types of weed – 13 different strains to be precise – as well as a dedicated ‘budtender’ to advise people on the perfect pot for them.

It’s always been you (Picture: Denise O’Reilly/Facebook)

What would you do if you found a love note scribbled on your €20 bill?

When Denise O’Reilly from County Meath in Ireland opened her purse last week, that’s exactly the dilemma that faced her.

The romantic, but brief, message read: ‘Christy, it’s always been you! Come and find me – Megan x’.

Denise, clearly a hopeless romantic herself, couldn’t rest without finding out what happened to Christy and Megan so she posted a picture of the note on Facebook with the message: ‘Found this is my purse this morning!!! Ah Christy She 💖s you!!!!! Go get ur girl!!!!! Come on people and share!!!’

Acorns. Bollocks. Boys. Coin purse. Gonads. Knackers. Nut sack. Family jewels.

That’s right, we’re talking testicles.

Here’s 12 fascinating facts you never knew about balls.

1. Meat and two veg

The word avocado derives from the Aztec word for testicle.

2. Ball ache

In the Middle Ages, men who wanted sons would sometimes have their left testicle chopped off because they thought the right testicle made male sperm, and the left made female.

3. Hand on part

Testicle derives from the Latin word testis, meaning ‘witness’.

In pre-biblical times men sometimes placed their hand on another man’s testicles when swearing an oath, because the testicles gave witness to a man’s virility.

And, in Roman times, men placed their right hand on their balls before giving testimony in… Read the full story

This heartbreaking story of a dad who lost his son to suicide was originally posted a year ago online by an anonymous mental health worker.

It was left on the After Crisis Tumblr page. After Crisis is a professional mental health blog focused on suicide prevention and providing support for ‘those on the verge of, in the midst of, or on the other side of recovery.’

While suicide is an incredibly complex issue, the story is now being shared widely online after it was re-posted to Imgur by user MrBollywood over the weekend. It has had over 660,000 views in two days.

Remember when someone deep fried a Big Mac and we couldn’t stop looking at/thinking about it?

Chef Tym Bussanich, a man who spends his days stuffing your favourite foods into your other favourite foods – we give you the burger-stuffed hash brown – has created the McFry: deep fried fingers of McDonald’s Cheeseburger.

A model has asked why it’s okay for people to shame her for being thin when they condemn fat shaming in the same breath.

Australian model Genevieve Barker has hit back at the double standards after a picture of her posted on photographer Brydie Mack’s Instagram page sparked a flood of cruel comments, with some writing that she looked ‘unwell’, ‘like a skeleton’ and should ‘eat a burger’.

One person wrote underneath the picture: ‘Bag of bones. Eat something.’ Another simply commented: ‘Gross’.

Let a bunch of teenagers inspire you to love yourself.

Distracting us from all the drama and sparkly outfits during Sunday’s VMAs, skincare brand Clean & Clear debuted a new advert, which provides a moving message on self acceptance and positive body image.

They asked seven young girls to talk about their unique features – the things that people around them have made fun of.

For the girls, their ‘imperfections’ included stuff like having big ears, a big forehead, and, sadly, being ‘too smart’.

AsapSCIENCE are back with a handy video showing you how much of different substances can cause death, from coffee to lack of sleep.
