The only thing that can guarantee to get you in the mood to face 2018 is this Pug Yoga calendar.

Yep, it’s just a load of pictures of some shirtless dude downward dogging and warrior 2-ing with his little canine friend, Kimchee.

Alex Hooper, from West Hollywood (duh, where else?) has spent over 100 hours carefully planning and producing this 2018 almanack, which he’s now crowdfunding to get into production.

He and his girlfriend Lauren rescued Kimchee two years ago after he was abandoned in Korea having previously been a breeding dog.

‘We adopted Kimchee from a Korean pug rescue, she was overbred and dumped in a shelter,’ says… Read the full story

Parents are often juggling a zillion things at once, which is why we’ve seen a massive rise in mums working out with their babies.

After all, why bother with kettlebells when you’ve got a 12lb baby who craves attention and likes being swung around?

And when it comes to fitness bloggers, they’ll work out anywhere and everywhere.

Take mum-of-two, qualified PT and fitness blogger, Sia Cooper, AKA Diary of a Fit Mommy.

She posted a video of herself working out in the middle of Target with her 17-month-old daughter, which incensed a whole lot of people who called her a ‘lunatic’.

‘This is the workout you do when you’re desperate for attention from strangers,’ wrote… Read the full story

What women want men to say during sex

If you can hear every creak of the bed and the sound of skin rubbing on skin, you might be doing it wrong. Housemates be damned.

But while we generally know that total silence during sex is not a great idea (we do know that, right? Please don’t be pin-drop silent. It’s very disconcerting), attempts to fill that silence can be daunting.

Do you let out a moan? Do you do some heavy breathing? Would it be ridiculous to throw out a ‘you like that?’ or an ‘oh yeah’?

The person you’re having sex with asking you to talk dirty just piles on the pressure. How dirty is acceptable? What’s… Read the full story

This is 19-year-old Anok Yai.

She’s a South Sudanese student currently studying biochemistry at Plymouth State University who has become the centre of a social media campaign to get her a modelling contract.

Anok was hanging out at the Howard University homecoming over the weekend when a photographer noticed her and started snapping away.

And once Steve ‘The Sunk’ Hall put those pics online, everyone agreed that Anok is basically a goddess walking among us.

TheSunk shared her photo with his 13,000 Instagram followers and got almost 10,000 likes within three days.

Apparently this best-selling eye mask is the key to fixing all your sleep issues

We’re all keen to get better sleep.

And while we know that the key is probably to stop watching Netflix in bed ’til 3am, we’ll happily buy into any gimmick that’ll help us avoid this massive sacrifice – whether it’s a lotion from Lush (which really does live up to the hype, FYI) or a pillow to wrap around our eyes on our commute.

So reviews of the Bedtime Bliss eye mask have piqued our interest.

Basically, it’s a standard eye mask, but with a puffy contoured design that allows you to open your eyes with the mask still on to complete darkness.

Grace Jones is one of fashion’s absolute heroes.

She’s been one of the greatest advocates for androgeny, for strong body image, for personal style.

In other words, Grace Jones is a complete legend.

And she’s not here for today’s modelling standards. In fact, she claims that if she was still working today, she’d ‘probably be dead’.

‘I’m glad I’m not doing it now,’ she tells The Guardian.

‘I’d probably be dead. Everybody’s so skinny. Size zero is like the walking dead. Not sexy at all.’

She goes on to say that when she was in her heydey, she’d normally be a model size six or eight  (which, if she’s referring to US sizes would… Read the full story

You’d be living under a rock if you hadn’t noticed weed is having a moment (sartorially speaking, of course).

Once the preserve of stoners, now it promises better sex, has infiltrated the catwalk and is even a part of Kendall Jenner’s airport attire.

It’s safe to say that the cannabis plant is having a resurgence and it’s no surprise that it’s now creeping into the world of beauty – one green leaf at a time.

Across the pond, cannabis has been a beauty buzzword since 29 US states legalised medical marijuana.

There are many different cannabinoids (the medicines in cannabis), one of which is THC, a psychoactive chemical found in cannabis. Many… Read the full story

It can be painful but it’s also incredibly sexy – here’s why everyone should try anal sex just once

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it (Picture: Ella Byworth for Metro.co.uk)

Perhaps the biggest myth about anal sex is that women aren’t into it.

I heard as a teenage student, from friends who had tried at the request of their boyfriends, that anal sex really hurt. On the back of that advice, it had never taken my fancy.

11 top tips for enjoying anal sex

But more recently, I’ve been trying out a few more sex-niques in the bedroom, such as toys and being submissive, which I’ve been enjoying a lot.

Still, the first time took me by surprise. We were in the… Read the full story

As the cold nights draw in and we bid farewell to the fiery pile of rubbish that was 2017, it’s time to look ahead to the new year.

It’s a time to pledge to be a better person, make some changes, and look forward to the future instead of dwelling on the past.

It’s also a time to buy ridiculous calendars, because how are you supposed to get sh*t done if you don’t know what day it is?

You can go for a pug yoga calendar, a sexy fish calendar, and even a calendar celebrating men’s rights activism.

If none of those are quite… Read the full story

Felicity Hayward is massive in the body positive world.

Yes, she’s a plus-size model but she’s also something of a self-love mogul, having founded the brand Self Love Brings Beauty.

It’s a movement promoting positivity, mental health, and confidence in both women and men.

And her logo is pretty distinctive – it’s two perfectly manicured hands forming a heart shape with Self Love Brings Beauty in the centre.

She’s got it on shirts, hoodies, bags.

Now, she claims, online retailer Shein has ripped off her design – before having the audacity to ask her to promote their new plus size range.

Back in September, Felicity claimed that they’d been stealing her design by selling… Read the full story

A new survey of 1,000 women from charity Target Ovarian Cancer reveals that just 1% of women in the UK are able to recognise a common symptom of ovarian cancer: needing the toilet more often than usual.

Only one in a hundred women surveyed in England said they knew that needing the loo was one of the more common signs of ovarian cancer.

That’s pretty concerning, especially considering that ovarian cancer is one of the most common types of cancers in women, and in the UK, 11 women die of the disease each day.

The women surveyed were pretty unaware of other symptoms, too.

Just one in five were aware that… Read the full story

Have you ever done an intense workout, woken up the next day to find that your body feels completely fine…and then felt like the tin man the day after that?

Of course, you have.

On day one you start to doubt that you actually worked out enough because you’re feeling so limber. And then on day two, you can bearly move. You wonder if you’ll ever be able to walk properly or lift your arms above your head again.

You start contemplating staying upstairs all day to avoid going downstairs. You wonder if, in fact, every muscle in your body has burst and you’ll be crippled for life.

We all love a big, juicy sausage nestled inside a soft bun – especially on a chilly autumn night.

But sadly, many of us have to put up with the disappointment of a less than average size sausage.

The dismay we feel when a hot dog barely touches the sides of a bun is immense and all-consuming.

So we rejoice at news that Aldi is now selling the meat stick of our dreams.

Just in time for Bonfire Night, Aldi is now selling a limited edition foot-long sausage, made from 100% British meat.

Bacon might be about to get a whole load healthier, people

Bacon is like kryptonite to vegetarians and healthy eaters.

No matter how much you hate the idea of eating saturated fat-filled pig flesh, the smell of bacon is enough to reduce even the hardiest wellness guru to a pool of saliva.

So imagine a world in which a healthier bacon exists.

One where bacon still tastes incredibly delicious but has much less fat?

Well, friends, welcome to that world.

Because scientists from China and the UK claim to have created genetically modified pigs who have 24% less fat than normal ones.

They’ve inserted a gene into the animals which means they can regulate their temperature better by burning fat. While most pigs have a tendency to accumulate fat, a… Read the full story

As social issues go, safe sex is a biggie. Lack of information and resources mean that sexually transmitted diseases remain a major problem the world over.

In Thailand, one organisation has come up with a ‘tasteful’ solution: Cabbages & Condoms (C&C), which may just be the only restaurant chain in the world that serves its dishes with a side of contraception.

Sex around the world: Here’s what goes on at Swingfields, the UK’s most secretive swingers’ festival

There are condoms everywhere: on the tables, on the walls, on mannequins dressed in colourful condom outfits.

Dogs struggle to get a good night’s sleep after a rough day

A night spent tossing and turning, thinking about all the embarrassing stuff you did that day, is the worst.

It’s not a fate we’d wish on anyone – especially not dogs, who, as we all know, are the best.

So it is with a heavy heart that we report that just like us, dogs struggle to get a decent night’s sleep if they’ve had a stressful day.

A new study has found that dogs who’ve had difficult, stressful experiences end up sleeping poorly – just like us anxiety-ridden humans.

Researchers measured the sleep of dogs including a golden retriever, a Labrador, a sheepdog, and a Jack Russell.

Before each dog went to sleep, there were given… Read the full story
