  • 11/08/17--01:26: Why I get lip fillers
  • (Picture: REX/Metro.co.uk)

I’m just going to put it out there. I’m not against cosmetic surgery. In fact, I’m quite a fan of getting lip fillers and botox.

And before you get your pitchforks and burn to me the ground for not promoting natural or inner beauty – please hear me out.

I do believe natural beauty comes from within. You can be the most beautiful person in the world but if you have the personality of a snail, then that can make you instantly ugly to a lot of people.

However, I also believe that if a person wants to change the way they look, especially if what they’re changing was making them insecure, then… Read the full story

10 best gluten free desserts in London (Becky)What’s for afters? 10 of the best gluten-free desserts in London

Upon first impressions, there is absolutely nothing to indicate that these products are gluten-free.

This is Dru Presta, 21, from Nevada.

She’s just moved to LA to pursue her dreams of breaking into the fashion industry and showing the world that sexiness has no height restrictions.

Dru was born with achondroplasia – a form of dwarfism – and was bullied for years because of her size.

‘The way people reacted was not the best way for a child to be exposed to,’ she says.

‘Reno, Nevada, is really small so it’s very small in diversity.

‘They definitely rung me out really hard. They teased and they made hurtful names. I just stuck out like a sore thumb.

You may remember our announcement back in September that, after being dumped by L’Oreal for speaking out about race, trans model Munroe Bergdorf would front a campaign for Illamasqua.

Now, that campaign is here. And it’s blimmin’ glorious.

This week Illamasqua unveiled their take on a Christmas campaign – one exploring gender and expectations of beauty.

It stars Munroe, as we mentioned, alongside Rain Dove, both wearing all kind of bold, bright, sparkly makeup.

‘We are not afraid to talk about the complex issues of our generation,’ say Illamasqua. ‘Whether they be race, gender, age or the environment.

Giving up meat has never been particularly high on my agenda.

I love meat. I’ve eaten it my entire life. It’s delicious. While we’re at it, I love cheese too.

I never really expected to embrace the vegan lifestyle. If anything, with my favourite food being ribs, I was the ‘anti-vegan’.

But just a week after agreeing to get into shape on a fully vegan diet, I’ve found a new lease of culinary life.

For two months, I’ll be looking to add to my complete lack of muscle on a plant-based diet, having struggled to do so in the past.

Earlier this year, I trained for a boxing fight on a… Read the full story

How do you know what the right decision is? (Picture: Ella Byworth/mylo)

You know what a gut instinct feels like. It’s part physical – an actual surge in your belly – part something else.

    ‘What do they look like?’

Usually that’s the first question that gets asked when you reveal you’re texting/sexing/DMing someone new.

Let’s face it, whether you like it or not, looks play a huge factor when deciding whether to pursue someone. It’s even more heightened now that there are myriad dating apps focusing on the exterior.

But what happens if you’re blind or partially sighted? Do you only date people who are also blind? How do they judge potential partners if you can’t see them?

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that blind or visually impaired people can still have a love life.

But how do they navigate dating and relationships in our looks-obsessed society?

We spoke to blind and partially sighted people to sort fact from fiction.

Can you imagine what it would be like to live in a world without music?

Every day we can hear the sounds of birds in the trees, cars beeping their horns, dogs barking,  the doorbell ringing and laughter.

You’re very much mistaken if you think shunning animal products means shunning food fun – take The Diner’s new veggie/vegan menu, vegan Baileys and this vegan version of KFC’s double down for example.

Even Aldi is selling cheap vegan ice cream!

And now? Oh boy, now your hot chocolate can get a vegan makeover thanks to the vegan marshmallows and whipped cream that Sainsbury’s is now stocking!

Boyfriends, for all their faults, are patient creatures.

They didn’t know that getting with us was going to involve pulling long hairs out of the plug hole and finding alternative pans while our moon cups quietly simmer away.

Undoubtedly, however, their lives have been improved by our existence in them.

And there’s no better way to prove that than with a genuinely good pile of Christmas presents.

Dudes tend to be dealt the shorthand when it comes to presents (how many socks can one man wear?) so it’s really up to you to make sure he has something worthwhile opening come the big day.

So here are a few ideas for your lovely, long-suffering boyfriend that… Read the full story

The fashion world loves nothing better than a good dose of theatrics.

It’s second only to the Catholic church for a showmanship.

Which is why next year’s Met Gala is going to be so good.

Because the Costume Institute has just announced that the 2018 will be ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’.

It’s basically going to be a bacchanalia of black lace and Madonna-esque crucifixes isn’t it?

The whole thing is set to focus on the papal garb which is on loan from the Sistine Chapel sacristy – much of which has never been seen outside of the Vatican.

There are going to be around 50 of these ecclesiastical garments on show, as well as… Read the full story

Sure, they look serene, but the process of getting there was HARD (Picture: Erin Aniker for Metro.co.uk)

    Choosing your husband is easy.

Once you’ve ruled out Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, your list is pretty much whittled down to ‘the guy you’re actually in a relationship with’.

11 things I still don’t understand about weddings even though I’m planning my own

Choosing bridesmaids, by comparison, is Sophie’s Choice.

For some people I suppose it’s easy. People who have always been part of a clique of four besties, or people who have loads of sisters or adorable nieces.
