Getting a new sibling can be tough.

Suddenly all that lovely attention is taken away from you because everyone is trying to satisfy a screaming bundle of vomit.

Molly the Westie, however, has been spared all that – because her human has built her her own little den.

When Michael McGowan found out he was going to be a dad, he decided to build Molly her own room under the stairs before the baby arrived.

Nothing existed under the stairs before and Michael wasn’t actually sure how big the space was as it was walled-in.

Nike has unveiled its best attempt yet at dominating the running shoe game — the new Epic React Flyknit.

Period sex. A lot of people are still uncomfortable with the idea.

The same goes for masturbating while menstruating, which is a real shame, because there are so many benefits to having a self-pleasure sesh when you’re on the rag.

Seriously, a great orgasm can shorten the length of your period, reduce cramps, help you deal with mood swings, and generally make you feel brilliant.

So why would we let a little thing like menstrual fluid hold us back from rubbing one out?

We’ve been pro-period masturbation for a while, but now, PornHub has joined the calls for everyone to have a… Read the full story

Mongee banana (Picture: D&T Farm)

Eating banana peel isn’t that unheard of. Many civilizations not only eat the potassium-rich fruit, but also its skin.

Although not a common practice in the west, it’s not strange when you consider some of the beneficial nutrients that the flesh contains.

Certain Asian cultures eat the skin as it is considered to be high in carbohydrates as well as magnesium and potassium, and also contains some protein and fibre.

But those unwilling to try the less sweet skin of regular bananas might be interested to try the Mongee banana – which has an edible peel.

Created by a Japanese agricultural research company, the fruit – pronounced mon-gay (Japanese for… Read the full story

We’re used to talking about women’s bodies.

Sadly, it’s normal to see women struggling with their image and self-esteem. There’s so much pressure everywhere to look a certain way, only intensified by magazine covers and Instagram.

But it’s not just women feeling insecure about their bodies – it’s men, too.

So many men worry about the way they look. They see toned, muscular men on the front of magazines, men pushing out their chests in gym selfies. Those who aren’t ripped are left to feel rubbish. As if they’re not good enough.

This needs to change.

Because we’re so used to talking about women and body image, men are forgotten… Read the full story

We hear loads about gym buddies but…how do you actually go about making mates at the gym?

I’ve been a regualr gym goer for years and I’ve never made any friends at classes or on the gym floor. Am I a social freak? Well, maybe, but I’m not the only person who struggles with building a community in that kind of environment.

For one thing, I’m busy trying to actually work out – sometimes you can only concentrate on one thing at a time. And when you’re all gross and sweaty/you’re exposing your skin than you normally do/you’re not wearing any makeup/it’s 7am, you just don’t feel on your social… Read the full story

Healthy food company upset customers by naming a meal ‘thigh gap’

We thought the obsession with having a thigh gap had gone out with Ugg boots.

Bloggers took it on. Nutritionists weighed in. Everyone collectively agreed that a thigh gap was a mad thing to aim for, that it mostly depended on the orientation of your hips, and then we all got on with out lives.

So why healthy eating company Protein Haus decided to name one of their meals ‘thigh gap’ is hard to fathom.

The meal consists of asparagus, ground beef and two halves of a tomato. It’s a healthy, balanced, if carb-less meal and if that’s what you want to eat for supper then more power to you.

Eating beetroot all day will turn your breast milk pink

(Breastfeeders in Australia)

You really are what you eat.

As sure as asparagus is to make your pee smell, eating beetroot can turn your breast milk pink.

According to one mum in Australia at least.

The mum, who wanted to keep her neat pink juice trick away from prying public eyes, posted on a closed Facebook group, detailing her findings.

She revealed that during the course of the day, she’d drank a juice containing fresh beetroot, ate a salad sandwich with beetroot, then continued her beetroot binge by finishing the rest of the tin of beetroot.

But it wasn’t an intentional test.

The mum Down Under only realised it had changed colour when her 16-month-old child… Read the full story

Women and men of colour who’ve struggled with skin problems might have trouble finding a dermatologist who understands their needs.

Common problems found in whiter skin tones are not always the same found with people of colour.

Sick of the lack of sensitivity and knowledge in handing dark skin, Dija Ayodele set about setting up a new system which connects you with professionals experienced in the topic.

The professional aesthetician who specialises in chemical peels, lasers, and supports dermatologists at her full time job, has set up the website as a platform of knowledge and support.

How much time OCD rituals take out of my day-to-day life

OCD takes up around fourteen hours of my week every single week.

It sounds excessive – and it is – but it’s true. I worked it out.

Every time I wash my hands, I spend five minutes doing so. I tend to wash between four and sixteen times. I have a thing about the number four. I’ve always hated the number three, and the whole ‘third time lucky’ thing. I believe saying this jinxes luck – and so passing the number three, and going onto number four, is comforting.

I follow out this ritual around twelve times a day. That’s an hour a day just spent washing my… Read the full story

There are loads of different ways people can express their love.

In South Korea, matching outfits with your other half is a way to show your commitment. In the UK, we’re fans of kissing and hand-holding.

And right now in Japan, there’s a cosy new way to show everyone how in love you are: sleeping together in a giant pair of jeans.

Felissimo, the same online store who brought us storage bags that look like rabbits, fortune cookies containing tiny cookie cats, and spray to make everything you own smell like kittens, is now selling something called ‘the super-big… Read the full story

If you fancy fish and chips (it’s fish and chip Friday, right?), you might as well go for the absolute best.

That might involve a bit of a trek, though, as you’d need to head to Millers Fish & Chips in Haxby, York. That’s the spot that’s landed the prestigious accolade of the best fish and chip shop in the UK.

That was announced last night at the annual National Fish & Chip Awards (yep, that’s a thing that happens every year), who chose Burton Road Chippy in Lincoln in second place, followed by Harbourside Fish & Chips in Plymouth in third place.

If you’ve ever slept in the same bed as a snorer, you’ll know that it’s a truly harrowing experience.

While they sink into a deep slumber, you toss, turn, try to block your ears with anything nearby, and grow increasingly frustrated as every nudge you give their body only stops their snoring for a few brief, blissful seconds before it comes back even louder.

It’s miserable. And you’d try anything to put an end to it so you can bloody well get some rest.

If you’re considering making your partner get surgery on your nose or relegating them to the sofa forevermore, it might be worth trying Aldi’s new solution.
