These incredible images aren’t pictures of fields or pieces of tie-tie artwork.

In fact, they’re the work of a photographer who’s spent the past three years going around the world, capturing the mesmerising world of salt farming.

Photographer Jassen Todorov has been going around snapping salt evaporation ponds, also called salterns, which are shallow artificial ponds designed to extract salt from sea water and other brines.

But that’s not all. took the pictures while piloting a plane.

Jassen actually took the pictures from planes…which he actually piloted.
