For every handful of people looking for a serious relationship on Tinder, there’s two handfuls of people wanting nothing of the sort.

Banning single women from hanging out with married men is absolutely ridiculous

On 12 September, Tinder turned five years old – having been released back in 2012 in hopes that it was going to change the dating world.

And in some ways, it did. It’s seen more than 10 billion matches, made up of people who’ve all spent at least minutes swiping left or right on people they found attractive and also not so attractive.

But unfortunately, not all of those people… Read the full story

C-sections – absolutely not the easy option (Pic: Getty)

After two ‘natural’ births (if you can call a ventouse delivery, an episiotomy and a lot of stitches natural) I was expecting a smooth ride for the birth of my third child.

We even planned a home birth.

It wasn’t to be though. Halfway through labour at home the midwives weren’t happy about the baby’s heart beat and my blood pressure had skyrocketed.

Before we knew it we were in an ambulance, sirens blaring on our way to the hospital.

Lying down on a stretcher in an ambulance at 9cm dilated was no fun. But it was nothing on what was to come… Read the full story

They have completely different lives and different experiences.

In an attempt to educate each other – and you – they ‘share’ aspects of their day-to-day.

And today? Alice explains ‘Mum Friends’.

Bibi: So-called Alice?

Alice: Hi there, lovely Bibi.

B: Jesus. Already with the flirting. Give it up! Anyway, the other day I heard someone refer to their ‘Mum Friends’. What did she mean?

A: Ha. Am I your Mum Friend?

B: No. You’re simply My Friend

A: So what’s a Mum Friend – if not a friend who is a mum?

It’d be a bit of an understatement to say Munroe Bergdorf has had a few big weeks.

Someone's set up a company making flip flops of Trump's tweets

For one brief, wonderful moment, Munroe was the first trans woman to appear in a L’Oreal campaign. Then a post she had written about race got spread around the internet, and L’Oreal decided to sack Munroe from the campaign, stating that her views didn’t align with their ‘values’.

L’Oreal experienced significant backlash. Munroe received death threats and hateful messages. She was Read the full story

Cheese is so moreish and tea is so warming.

Both are British staples. You can never trust someone who simultaneously hates Wensleydale and refuses to drink a cuppa.

Banning single women from hanging out with married men is absolutely ridiculous

But you know what’s not okay? You know what you definitely should refuse to sup?

Cheese tea.

Yes, you read that correctly.

According to Condé Nast Traveler, cheese-topped tea is something that’s spreading like wildfire across Asian tea houses – and it’s now reached the USA.

And you know what that means: it’s only a matter of time before it infects our shores.

It had been an otherwise uneventful pregnancy, but in her last few weeks Louise began to experience intense itching.

Her hands and feet constantly felt painfully itchy and she spent the last the last part of her pregnancy feeling increasingly uncomfortable.

‘It was really annoying,’ the mum-of-one explained and, as it began to intensify, she decided she had better get checked out by the doctor.

It turned out Louise was suffering from obstetric intrahepatic cholestasis, also known as intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.

ICP is a condition which affects 1 in 140 pregnant women in the UK, around 5,500 a year, according to the NHS.

‘It’s so irritating, the palms of your hands buzz with itchiness and so do your feet,’ Louise explained.

Life as a vegan can be a hard work, sometimes.

metro illustrationThese are your dating sins according to your zodiac sign, apparently

You have to check the label of every god damn thing you put in and on your body.

It’s frustrating how many cosmetics actually aren’t vegan. Regardless of whether you eat animal products, it’s sad that we can’t all agree on the fact that animal testing is barbaric. Some of the biggest (and most expensive) names in the beauty industry still test on animals in order to trade in China and it just doesn’t make any… Read the full story

Last week, two of the biggest luxury fashion powerhouses announced that they were now going to stop using underweight and underage models in their catwalk shows and campaigns.

LVMH and Kering, who collectively own Gucci, Saint Laurent, Vuitton and Dior, said that they’d no longer be using size zero girls ‘to ensure the wellbeing of models’.
