Choosing the right photographer is a crucial part of every wedding.

All the biggest wedding dress trends for 2018

Those photos are going to follow you through your life, so you should spend a bit of time thinking about who’s going to be taking them.

Once you’ve trawled through samples of their photos online, you need to have a meeting with them to discuss their services – either face-to-face, or over phone/Skype etc.

That’s when the brutal questioning should begin.

Here are some questions you should ask your potential photographers, which I learned chiefly by failing to… Read the full story

Collective bleeds in the UK are causing five million sick days a year and costing the British economy £531 million each year, according to research commissioned by Wear White Again.

Over four million British women suffer from heavy periods, resulting in a total of 5,581,186 sick days every year.

73% women surveyed admitted they lie to their employer when taking a period sick day, with 44% preferring to say they have diarrhoea.

As if there weren’t enough downsides of being a woman – we have to deal with sexual harrassment, the gender pay gap alongside countless… Read the full story

A girl recently went viral on Twitter after she shared two side-by-side photos sharing how the captions both she and her boyfriend had written differed despite them both having shared the same photo.

Isabelle Koval posted a screenshot of an Instagram photo she’d shared of her and her boyfriend enjoying some time together at a football game.

Her boyfriend also shared the same photo to his own account.

But while Isabelle’s photo featured a cute caption, which read: ‘Always a blast w my bff’, her boyfriend’s was less affectionate, opting for: ‘Sitting… Read the full story

It’s bloody hard to meet the love of your life on a night out or in a bar.

And it’s even harder to come across them in a coffee shop, a park or maybe even on the underground. Because the fact is, this is real-life and not When Harry Met Sally.

But that’s okay, because nowadays we have social media and dating apps to do all the meeting for us. All it takes is one swipe right to be in with a chance of meeting Mr or Miss Right, and so why would we bother hanging around in our local coffee shop anyway?

This floating tent is basically an extreme water bed

Camping is great as it gives you total freedom to pitch a tent almost anywhere.

Although as 70% of the earth is water, we’ve actually been pretty restricted up until now.

Not any more because the Shoal tent – the first of its kind – is an inflatable, floating raft that lets you sleep on the water and have the best/most anxious sleep of your life (depending on your disposition).

Its manufacturer Smith Fly suggests you ‘camp on your favourite farm pond, salt water flat, spring creek or eddie on your favorite river’.

I think that gives it away that the company is American – if it was English your options would likely be… Read the full story

Forget changing hairstyles, because it seems the people of Instagram are far too invested in changing the styles of their eyebrows right now.

And this time, they’re incorporating the two together – with a new ponytail brow look that is really raising some non-tied-up eyebrows.

Ponytail brows were first brought to our attention on 6 September, after beauty blogger @glamgk debuted the look to her 19,000 followers.

The brows are exactly as they sound – brow hairs designed to look as though they’ve been tied into a hairband.

Bloggers are filling their eyebrows as normal, but are adding a small, hair tie-like bobble to the arch of their brows, before continuing the… Read the full story

It’s a no-brainer that if your best friend is suffering with their mental health, you should support them.

If you haven’t experienced what it’s like to have mental health issues yourself, it can be hard to know what to do.

You don’t want to say or do the wrong thing or put any unnecessary pressure on your friend so you may think about just giving them some ‘space’.

That’s fine if that’s what they’ve said they want but if they haven’t, there are a few things you can do to be a good support for your friend during their darkest days.

Halloween is just around the corner, which means we really should start getting our affairs in order.

Costumes need to be bought, face paint needs to be perfected and enough sweets to offer your entire neighbourhood should be starting to fill out your cupboards.

There is one thing we always seem to forget though – and that’s the fact our nails are always in need of a spooky makeover too.

Most of us just stick to black, unable to find the time or the inspiration to come up with anything more spooktacular.

This is what it’s like to suffer from chronic fatigue, except there isn’t a constant power cable which can keep us functioning.

I’m talking about brain-muddling, confusion-inducing, pain-inflicting exhaustion.

A woman’s hormones are all over the shop while they’re pregnant, so why do us men try our best to irritate the one we love?

We have it easy. I don’t know about you, but nine months of feeling ill and not being able to drink doesn’t sound like much fun to me.

I love my dad the way he is (Picture: Ella Byworth for Metro.co.uk)

I’m the proud owner of five dads.

Yes, two women can raise a son – why would being a lesbian stop me being a good mum?

So all those dads, plus grandparents, equate to a really expensive Father’s Day.

‘Do you really think I’m going to let you read the Sunday papers, Dad?’ (Picture: FangXiaNuo/Getty)

It’s Sunday, a day of rest and a time to lie in bed, read the Sunday newspapers, possibly enjoy breakfast in bed and listen to the church bells ringing out.

Ha! Yeah, right.

It would be if it wasn’t 8am and you were on your second hour of Peppa Pig while your child begged for their third bowl of Weetabix.

Sundays are never the same once you have children – and here are ten reasons why.

It may come as a surprise to some folk but plus size people work out.

Under every story we publish about a larger woman, there are thousands of comments from sofa doctors advising them to get in the gym, to reassess how healthy their lifestyle is, to stop eating so much.

In reality, however, many larger men and women spend long periods of time squatting and lifting and crosstraining. Go to any gym and you’ll find an array of bodies working out for a variety of purposes, at different stages of their journeys.

And plus-size model Tess Holliday is no different.

Mmm chicken coffee (Picture: Tim Hortons)

When did regular coffee become so passé?

Every coffee house these days seems to be offering exotic latte flavours, from Cinnamon Dolce to Pumpkin Spice. No one wants just a bit of milk and sugar in their coffee these days.

But while we can just about deal with these ultra-sweet efforts to turn lattes into puddings, Tim Hortons has gone too, too far.

Because they’ve just launched a Buffalo sauce flavoured drink.

Yep, they’re offering a spicy-sweet concoction made with ‘espresso, steamed milk, mocha and bold Buffalo sauce flavour’.

Mike and Megan, who together own catastrophicreations.com, came up with the idea after being ‘discouraged’ by how unimaginative a lot of cat furniture was.
