The New Statesman’s July front cover has sparked a backlash online.
Nicola Sturgeon has reacted angrily to the publication’s latest cover, which asks ‘why are so many successful women childless?’ above a picture of her, Theresa May, Liz Kendall and Angela Merkel standing over a crib which contains a ballot box instead of a baby.
The SNP Leader tweeted a picture of the front page with the comment: ‘Jeezo…we appear to have woken up in 1965 this morning!’
