According to the company’s latest results, global sales of DC have fallen 7 per cent in the last year, following a steady decline since 2008.
This despite sales of regular Coke, Coke Zero and Sprite increasing.
Sandy Douglas, president of Coca-Cola North America, attributed the declining sales to an increased focus on fresh food and concerns about sugar substitutes.
