Obituaries don’t tend to be funny. Touching, yes. Flattering, definitely. But funny, not so much.
But when Sandy Stocks’ mum Pat died at the grand old age of 94, he decided to pen something honest, heartfelt and hilarious, to honour her.
The obit begins by playing on the traditional line detailing the people the deceased has left behind. Except in this case it reads ‘She left behind a hell of a lot of stuff to her daughter and sons who have no idea what to do with it.’
