Over the weekend, one of the most recognisable cityscapes in the world was used to raise awareness of animal species under threat of extinction.
Filmmakers projected images of some of the world’s most beautiful and endangered species, from eagles, to leopards, and monkeys, onto the Empire State Building – all 1,250 feet of it.
Also memorialised in the Manhattan skyline was Cecil the lion, whose death at the hands of American dentist and trophy hunter Walter Palmer, sparked outrage last week.
