Cecil the lion is being immortalised – in the form of a stuffed toy.
According to a press release, Ty Warner is creating a Cecil the lion Beanie Baby in memory of the big cat who became headline news after he was lured out of his Zimbabwe national park and killed by an American trophy hunter.
All profits from sales of the Cecil cuddly toy, available from next month, will go to the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit of the University of Oxford – a group dedicated to wildlife conservation all over Africa.
