In the battle of the sexes, there’s only one major arena to conquer: who can survive a breakup the best?
A new study has found that despite feeling more breakup-related pain, women come out of breakups significantly better than men. Because they’re tough.
The study, conducted by Binghamton University and University College London, found that women report experiencing significantly more emotional and physical pain post-breakup.
Researchers asked 5,705 participants to rate the pain of a breakup on a scale of one (none) to 10 (unbearable), and found that women averaged around 6.84 in terms of emotional pain, and 4.21 when it came to physical pain.
