Look, body positivity is a wonderful thing.
But when people get so caught up in the ‘big is beautiful’ stuff that they’re slamming every other body type, there’s a serious problem. Especially when you’re setting up a curvy girls vs. ‘skinny bitches’ battle.
Throwing in a catchy tune and some colourful backdrops (*cough* Meghan Trainor) doesn’t take away from the blatant body-shaming.
Which is why Pop Roulette have gone ahead and created a video parodying the shady side of the body positive movement, with superb lyrics like: ‘we’re here to tell you that ALL bodies are beautiful – unless you’re thin, then you are disgusting!’
