Women, start shouting about your vagina. Loud and proud. It could literally save your life.

A new study from Ovarian Cancer Action suggests that young women are putting their health at risk by being too embarrassed to say the word ‘vagina’, resulting in them putting off going to the doctor when they’re having sexual health issues.

The study found that almost half of women aged 18-24 are scared of having intimate examinations, with only 17% saying they would initially make a GP appointment if they had a sexual health or gynaecological issue.
