Many smokers say that fear of gaining weight is one of the reasons they won’t give up the habit.
But in reality, smoking could be giving them a pot belly.
Scientists at the University of Glasgow found that while smokers tend to have a lower overall weight, fat is more likely to distribute into central areas, like the belly.
