Because sometimes, the best things in life are very, very small.
Tatsuya Tanaka is a Japan-based art director and photographer, who’s been working on a very special project – called ‘Miniature Calendar’ – every single day for the last four years.
Each day, he creates a teeny, tiny miniature scene, around the theme of viewing everyday things in a new way. He takes photos, and uploads them to his daily calendar – one for each day of the year.
He’s now created his miniature scenes every day since 2011, and has even released a book version of his work.
