News of Natalie Massenet’s departure from Net-a-Porter, the company she founded 15 years ago, has surprised the fashion world.
Massenet had previously indicated that she planned to continue on at the helm long after the luxury fashion e-tailer’s merger with Italian rival Yoox. ‘We’ve only just begun,’ she told Bloomberg in July.
In a statement yesterday, she said she now planned to explore ‘new ideas and opportunities’, adding, ‘my entrepreneurial drive is as strong today as it always has been, and my passion for innovation will continue to be my greatest guide in business.’
