Legend has it there are 300 days of sunshine in Denver, Colorado every year.
If that particular urban myth is true, that’s about 290 more days of annual solar power than we are subjected to in the UK.
When you’re in Denver, as I was last month, it’s easy to think that several of those 300 days of sunshine are beaming down on you at once: it’s hot in the city.
Temperatures slide up to the 100F mark with alarming ease, but this is Mile High City, where the altitude means the heat never becomes too sticky.
