Photographer and biochemist Linden Gledhill has created a stunning photo series using macro photography, which shows what butterfly wings look like up close.
It’s blowing our minds a little bit, because who KNEW that each delicate butterfly wing is made up of thousands of teeny tiny petal type mini wings?
We’d never really thought about it, to be honest. But we’re glad this mystery has been brought to light. Because now we know that each butterfly wing is really, really beautiful.
