Whenever women complain about being harassed in the street, they’re bound to receive at least one response of ‘well, maybe if you weren’t dressed like that…’
And it is the worst.
Comedian Jessica Delfino was walking through New York filming herself for Periscope, when a man came up to her, put his arm around her shoulder, and proceeded to hit on her.
When she discussed the incident with her followers, she was quickly sent this comment: ‘If you were ugly, that wouldn’t happen.’
She responded: ‘No, a lady could wear a garbage bag and flip flops and they’d still harass you,’ to which another commenter replied: ‘You should do that and film it.’
So she did.
