There are plans to turn the Olympics Orbit tower into a giant helter skelter

Clik here to view. Artist impression of the slide. Super-fun plans have been unveiled to turn the ArcelorMittal Orbit tower ñ into a giant HELTER SKETLER. See SWNS story SWSLIDE. The opinion-dividing tower, designed by artist Anish Kapoor, based at Londonís Olympic Park may finally win over its critics if it becomes a giant slide. London Legacy Development Corporation, which manages the park in Newham, east London, has asked for permission to kit out Britainís tallest sculpture spiralling shoot. If a success, it will be possible to slide down the 115m steel tower from a height of 80m, going round five loops before a speedy descent to the ground.
