People take medication for a lot of conditions: cancer, heart problems, diabetes and asthma, to name a few.
It’s normal to take medication to help you get better when you’re not well.
Except for when that medication is to help you live with mental illness.
Then there’s still a huge stigma.
People with mental illnesses are often told to try to walk it off, or simply to try harder.
Which is ridiculous as a person with anxiety can no more snap out of it than a person can try harder to get rid of asthma.
