The day before her 28th birthday and on the day of her bridal shower five years ago, Dana Donofree was diagnosed with infiltrative ductal carcinoma, an aggressive type of breast cancer.
She spent the next year in and out of hospital, going through a double mastectomy, reconstructive surgery and gruelling chemo sessions.
The treatment worked, but she admits she struggled to come to terms with the changes in her body after cancer.
