Breaking! China’s building the tallest and longest glass bridge in the world

If you’re a fan of terrifying glass-bottom bridges, you’re in luck. Because China is currently building what will be the world’s longest and tallest glass suspension bridge.

They have high hopes for it.

The bridge, currently under construction, is 300 metres (984 ft) high and 430 metres long, and is suspended across Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon in Hunan’s picturesque Zhangjiajie National Park.

That means it will be virtually as high as The Shard (which stands at 309 metres tall).

The bridge itself will be six metres wide and each glass panel underfoot will be just five centimetres thick.
