For many, a morning coffee isn’t so much as a want as an all-consuming need to get you through the day.

But beans don’t come free in this life, no matter how much we’d like them to be.

Nope, coffee is a pricey commodity and we’re paying a hell of a lot for it in the UK.

We’re spending the entire fortune of Sir Paul McCartney a year on our coffee habit – that’s £730million.

A cup of Joe every weekday racks up £519 a year on average, which is a lot of money for us less wealthy than the former Beatle.
