Although we don’t officially celebrate our 20s until we turn 21, 20 is truly the first step into adulthood.
It’s the first year we don’t have to add a ‘teen’ on to our age.
It somehow sounds more adult-like. More mature. And sounding more mature must mean we automatically become more mature right?
Suddenly, we’re responsible and we think only for ourselves and we know how to make it in life.
Sadly, my expectations of what it meant to turn 20 were completely and utterly wrong.
Unfortunately, life just doesn’t work so routinely.
