Opening up about OCD is scary for many reasons.
Being judged by others and the disbelief from friends and family, that may have known you your entire life but failed to notice there was more going on inside your head than most.
It’s also hard to talk about because there are so many underlying variations of the disorder. What I’m writing is my experience only, and does not go for every other sufferer of OCD.
First, I’d also just like to state that I have OCD.
I’m not OCD. I hate that term.
An illness doesn’t define you. If you were suffering with a cold, you wouldn’t say ‘I’m cold’ would you? Okay, well maybe you would if you were actually feeling cold. But you get my drift.
