According to nationaldaycalendar.com, today is #NoBraDay, a day supposedly created to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.
There is no official recognition of the campaign by Cancer Research or Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it seems to have initially started on Twitter and begun trending.
Though they say they can’t verify its origins, the site states that this is a ‘day to leave your bra at home’, giving the reason that many women who have survived breast cancer are unable to go without a bra, as they need it to hold their prosthesis after surgery.
So, if this is the case, why are we celebrating not wearing a bra?
