Anyone who’s ever waited tables knows how stressful a job it can be.
Long hours, rude customers and running around on your feet all day can make even the calmest of people’s blood boil.
Now, scientists have given overworked waiters and waitresses validation – it is officially one of the most high stress jobs out there.
They analysed six different studies that looked at the link between job strain and stroke risk, involving a total of 137,782 participants.
Through this, they found there were four types of jobs with different levels of demands and control.
