What exactly is a ‘dad joke’? What differentiates it from a common-or-garden ‘joke’? Is any joke told by a male parent automatically a ‘dad joke’, or does it only apply when the joke is particularly rubbish?
While the precise definition of the ‘dad joke’ may be elusive, a dad joke, like pornography, is something we know when we see it.
