Can I Touch You… There? Well Michael Bolton, it’s very nice you asked, but I’m gonna go with no.
And according to a new study by University of Oxford and Finland’s Aalto University – the biggest study ever conducted into physical contact – I’m not alone.
Researchers asked 1,368 adults from the UK, Finland, France, Italy and Russia, to colour in body outlines to show where they are happy to be touched by different people – ranging from their partner to a stranger.
To be fair, many of the results are pretty unsurprising. For instance, no one was really up for anyone except their partner touching them… there.
