When Patrick Smith decided to ask his high school crush, Jen Malespina, to go to the prom with him he was pretty sure he was going to get a yes.
That’s probably why he decided to do it over the microphone in front of thousands of people at a football match, and asked his best mate to video the whole thing.
Unfortunately things didn’t quite work out that way.
