I know people mean well. They just want to help. But they clearly don’t appreciate the reality of having a migraine.
1. ‘You mean you’ve got a headache?’
NO! A migraine is not just a bad headache. It’s a whole new level of feeling terrible.
2. ‘Ooh, I think I’m having a migraine…’
Well, you’re managing to walk and talk and continue working so, no, you’re not having a migraine.
3. ‘Walk it off. You’ll feel better once you’ve had some fresh air.’
Walk it off?! I’m not a footballer faking an injury.
4. ‘But you had the migraine yesterday. Why are you still ill?’
