Welcome to very Aussie problems.
A wombat who’d got himself in too deep had to be rescued from a Tasmanian lake by two passing fishermen at the weekend.
Craig Wilson and his step-dad Bob were out fishing for trout on Woods Lake in central Tasmania when they spotted the wombat in trouble, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
‘We were just fishing and we came across the wombat,’ Craig said.
Although they initially mistook the little guy for a platypus. ‘The wombat was trying to stay afloat above the water, we thought it was a platypus because we could see the fur,’ Craig explains.
