In this heartbreakingly personal video, four women have decided to speak out about their abortions, to inform others of the choices they have made and the reasoning behind these choices.
Melanie, Bree, Alyssa and Shanelle each have very different reasons for their choice to have an abortion. You can see each woman finds it incredibly hard to talk about in the AJ+ video, no matter what their reasoning is.
Shanelle was just 18 when she had an abortion.
She was a student at the time she fell pregnant nad found out when she’d taken a pregnancy test at a health centre.
She feels they didn’t give her very good advice as to what her options were.
