While us Brits pride ourselves on being polite, at Christmas some of us take good manners to the next level.
Here are a few things British people will do at Christmas to be polite:
1. Ending every conversation with, ‘have a good Christmas!’
2. Telling people ‘not to worry the receipt is in the bag’ before they even open your gift.
3. Automatically apologising when someone bumps into you in the Christmas crowds.
4. Thanking other drivers for letting you through – when it is your right of way.
5. Wearing a horrible jumper your mother-in-law bought you all day rather than admit you don’t like it.
