Hold on, beer can be … not-vegetarian? There’s meat in beer?
No. But there may be fish. A lot of alcohol is strained through isinglass, which is dried fish swim bladders (nice).
It is a form of collagen used for clarification or fining of beer, to help the yeast sedinment settle more quickly rather than to improve flavour or texture.
However tiny particles of fish remain in the final drink.
