They are wise, have much more life experience than you, and usually have your best interests at heart.
Give whatever they’re saying a chance, even if it sounds stupid. Don’t be like the people currently sharing their stories on Reddit, on a thread that asks: ‘What was your best “f***, my parents were right” moment?’
