A new gay hook-up app has just been launched but its intentions are a little more devious than most.
Unlike other apps such as Tinder and Grindr, Hanky requires the vote of other members in order to join the app.
The strict rules, which entails three existing users of the app casting a vote to decide which potential new users make the cut, have been set up by the app developers in order to keep out the ‘creeps, time-wasters and fake profiles’ which are present on other apps.
The pretentious app rejects a whopping 8 out of 10 applicants.

Cofounder of Hanky Jones Cronfeld told Pink News that the app aims to get ‘more sexy’ users.
He said: ‘For a long time we’ve been fed up with the vibe of the other gay apps.’
