We’ve all been handed our morning latte by a grinning Starbucks barista, with a name that bears no resemblance to our own scrawled across it.
We just haven’t worked out yet whether it’s an innocent mistake, or whether they’re just messing with us.
But, spare a thought for 33-year-old Siân David, a newspaper sub-editor, who moved to Bristol from Wales two years ago.
Siân has a pretty traditional Welsh first name (the equivalent of Jane in English).
