Being from Yorkshire is quite frankly an honour, and we are rightly proud of our magnificent landscape and immaculate taste in tea.
However, hailing from God’s own county can also bring you an array of problems when dealing with the ‘outsiders’.
Here are just some of our daily gripes…
1. ‘Mispronouncing’ words
In Yorkshire we pronounce words properly, of course, but to the rest of the world the way we say certain words can be very confusing and sometimes can make for a very awkward situation.
The best example of this comes when us Yorkshire folk use the ever so innocent word ‘couldn’t’…try saying it in a Yorkshire accent and this problem will suddenly become very clear.
