It turns out there may just be a simple help to combat obesity – though it involves some pretty disgusting medication:
Frozen poop pills. Yep, seriously.
Scientists have found that changes in the makeup of the digestive microbiome (tiny organisms living inside us) have been linked to obesity, as some bacteria seems to spur the body on into storing more fat.
By changing that makeup, with poop pills containing lean and healthy people’s stool (and accompanying organisms), it is thought that the body would be less inclined to store fat.
